| Little Boxes, Little Boxes Made of Awesomeness... |

 |
| I went to a terrific poetry reading last month and came across these fabulous little origami poems. The lovely lady that came up with them goes by the name of Amy Miller, and at every turn she wows me. As far as dying arts go, I think that poetry is leading the pack. And by dying art ,I don't necissarily mean we are at a shortage of poets, perhaps just a shortage of good ones. Amy, however, is the real deal. When someone is really genius at what they do, adjectives seem to always fall a bit short. But, I digress, because I was really going to talk about these little origami poetry boxes that she makes. |

I sweet-talked her into letting me post one of her poems that I thought fit the occasion.
What Goes On Inside a Box?
A quiet, closet
life, a universe
inverted. The hollow
sound of space:
the dark debating
whether God is in there,
and if so, what
could be outside. |

I'm a bit behind on some Photoshop work for friends and family. Being a photographer can sometimes be a double edged sword for people I'm close to. Sure, they get a lot of great photos, but the truth is that they inevitably get pushed to the bottom of the processing pile.
In the end, they'll always forgive me. Because it may be a little late, but oh so worth the wait. |
