| I just came across this while searching for the perfect font. My own handwriting leaves a lot to be desired but I have to say I would adore getting emails from the people I love and don't see so much in their handwriting. It is a tempting Christmas present. |

| I know that everyone is getting antsy to see a picture of the new little guy so here is a sneak peek. More pictures to come... |

| I think he takes after his aunt a bit, no? |

| The Egg Play |
 |
 |
 |
I got a call from a VERY talented playwright recently, asking if I was available for an emergency head shot session. Seeing that I like to surround myself with the hip and incredibly good looking artistic set, I was happy to oblige.
|

| If you are interested in producing his highly acclaimed work called The Egg Play you can do so at that link. |

| I thought this one was had a nice "backstage at an indie film festival vibe". |

| Oh, and sorry ladies, he's taken. |

Another Independence Day has come and gone. As I think I've said here before, one of my favorite things about holidays is that you get to do the EXACT same thing as the holiday before. I find some sort of quaint comfort in that. Needless to say, we didn't change things up much from last year.
Just as always, I found myself surprised that the parade starts so early. I'll no doubt re-forget and be surprised next year. I wasn't completely feeling the parade this year. It was more fun to just watch Bren interact with it. |

| For the most part he stayed somewhere in between joy and horror while watching everyone go by. However, he was pretty excited when Mr. Dave (his playschool teacher) came by doing some BMX stunts. |

| I had Bren pose once with a flag on the street, and he then took it upon himself to pose at each and everyone of the flags he saw for the rest of the day. It was pretty cute the first two times. Not so much the sixth and seventh. |

| Since I'm always looking for any excuse to bake and decorate cupcakes, we decided to head home to do just that. |

| Somehow, he managed to wait until all were adorned before plunging in. |

One new addition to our 4th of July was a trip to the fireworks tent. Considering the boy was so terrified of people at the parade I was thinking that fireworks wouldn't be well received. Apparently, smiling people marching by handing out candy = Terrifying. Explosions, fire, and ear-piercing screeches = Most Excellent.
The Fire Truck was the all around crowd pleaser. Brendan's favorite because he loves fire trucks. My favorite because I couldn't resist the irony of a fire truck driving around spewing fire. The little ladder even popped out at the end and blasted out even MORE tiny fire balls. Worst. Firemen. Ever. |

| These little tanks always catch on fire. |

| We went to Garfield Park for the big ones later that night. I decided not to take any pics because I was sort of having a "been-there, done-that" kind of feeling about pictures of big fireworks. If this saddens you, feel free to get a bit of deja vu with last year. |
