Do The Whirlwind
I've used that song as a blog title once before, but it just seemed to fit this one so perfectly.

Can you believe that this picture was taken in late October? Hiya, global warming, my name is Megan and I don't care for you very much. I was born during a blizzard and not meant to see the sun as much as most people, so please go away.

Chela & Jesse
What better thing could a couple do for their five-year anniversary than get a supa hot photo shoot together? Yes, yes, I'm probably a little biased, seeing that I'm a photographer, but honestly, I think it is something that more couples should do. Why should the brides and grooms get all the fun?

This one is my favorite of the bunch.

I think when you look at these pictures you'd be a bit surprised to find out that these two spent most of their photo shoot laughing and goofing around with each other. They have such good romantic model serious faces that they can put on. But it's all lies, people. Lies!

Wait, no, THIS one is my favorite of the bunch.

I have so much respect for these two. If you looked up "pillar of the community," it would tell you to talk to Chela or Jesse so that you could see a living, breathing example. It is also so nice to photograph a couple so solid, in love, and just as, if not more playful than most newly-engaged couples.

And Also, Chickens
Hey, do you like pumpkin patches? Me TOO!

While in Portland last weekend we made a trip to Plumper Farm. It was a pretty nice place, and I even made friends with a chicken. Editor's note: I never thought I would find myself googling "plumpers portland."

The friendship with the chicken turned unrequited pretty fast, so I hung out by it's water cooler thinking we might work things out when she came back. Didn't happen.

Maybe it was because she didn't like me taking pictures of her babies.

I found mums.

Grandpa Boone brought his truck. What a lovely prop it made.

Mmmm. October skies.

Sorry, Kevin
Somehow, poor Kevin, our ever vigilant book-guarding gnome, was left out of last week's random post. I don't need any gnome spite in my life, so here he is.

While Listening to Radio Dept.
I had a cancellation yesterday and decided to use the newly acquired free time in the most irresponsible way possible. After a bit of shopping, I came home and took random pictures around the house. For just a little while, I was able to push things that "had to be done" to the side. And it was nice.

I'm not sure how he uses the wrench as a cooking utensil; maybe something was just broken. But seeing as he's cooking Paddington's rain boot, I'm not so quick to assume the obvious.

These are the ceramic mushrooms that call my coffee table their home.

Fox and sheep go everywhere together. They often take plane rides. When I asked Bren where they were going, he said "The Park!" A plane ride to the park four blocks away? Seems a bit excessive, no? I guess that's just how fox and sheep roll.

This is what I see when I wake up.

Today was a pretty day
Autumn comes with
These slight surprises where your life might twist and turn
Hope to unlearn
Strange things will happen
If you let them come around and stick around

-Radio Dept.

Per usual, Bren made me lunch. Hands down the best lemon-pepper-potato-cheese-corn waffle EVER.

On Being a Good Houseguest
I think I'm going to make it a new rule that no one is to come to stay at our place without bringing fresh picked apples from their farm.

As far as rules go, I think it is a good one. Thanks Eric!

Happy October!
Perhaps someday the weather will reflect what month it actually is. In the meantime, go to Harry and David for a bit of autumnal delight in the parking lot.
