Bonjour
I was trying to get a good picture of this beret that I knit to post on Ravelry. I, however, learned the lesson that self portraits with heavy cameras that are meant to be of an entire hat are not as easy as I had initially bargained for (that is if you don't want to include a mirror and have very short arms).

Enter toddler. Who just so happens to be at that perfect age where I can say, "Please take these towels up to the bathroom for me." or "Wear this hat while I take your picture." and I am more times than not, met with an extra enthusiastic "Okay! Ma!"

I only include this one because, it looks to me, to have a twinge of 'blue steel' to it.

Dear Reader
See, look what I've gone and done! I promised myself that no matter WHAT, no matter how crazy this home renovation and settling in got, no matter how hectic the "on season" would be- that I would not, could not ignore this blog. But, I did, and instead of apologizing for the umpteenth time I'm just here with flowers, or well, a flower, promising that it just won't happen again, baby.

I have sooooooo many things to tell you about and soooooooo many pictures to show you. So, I'll go work on them so that I can share them soon.

Roxy Ann Winery Pt. 2
I really prefer it when people choose to "do something" during a photo shoot. I think that it makes the pictures and moments so much more authentic. Not to mention interesting.

I think this photo of picnicking at the winery is just so quintessentially Southern Oregon.

There is a reason why this girl keeps showing up on my blog-she is just truly one of the most photogenic kids I've ever seen.

See, even pictures of her pouting are good!

I loved the lighting in this one.

Such a beautiful family.

Roxy Ann Winery Pt. 1
I was putting together an album of this photo shoot for a friend's birthday, and I realized that I never shared any of the photos from this beautiful day. I thought I should get to it post haste. It is a post haste kind of day, don't you know.

This picture really gets me so exited about Spring, which will surely be here soon! I think my favorite part about this one are the little leftover slivers of nail polish.

I would love to see this one blown up GIANT size.

Part 2 coming soon!

Do The Whirlwind
I've used that song as a blog title once before, but it just seemed to fit this one so perfectly.

Can you believe that this picture was taken in late October? Hiya, global warming, my name is Megan and I don't care for you very much. I was born during a blizzard and not meant to see the sun as much as most people, so please go away.

Chela & Jesse
What better thing could a couple do for their five-year anniversary than get a supa hot photo shoot together? Yes, yes, I'm probably a little biased, seeing that I'm a photographer, but honestly, I think it is something that more couples should do. Why should the brides and grooms get all the fun?

This one is my favorite of the bunch.

I think when you look at these pictures you'd be a bit surprised to find out that these two spent most of their photo shoot laughing and goofing around with each other. They have such good romantic model serious faces that they can put on. But it's all lies, people. Lies!

Wait, no, THIS one is my favorite of the bunch.

I have so much respect for these two. If you looked up "pillar of the community," it would tell you to talk to Chela or Jesse so that you could see a living, breathing example. It is also so nice to photograph a couple so solid, in love, and just as, if not more playful than most newly-engaged couples.

Why is it That...
I always manage to find the most beautiful people on the planet in front of my lens?

Perhaps I'm just lucky.

A Rare Moment of Exhibitionist Behavior
In an attempt to take a picture of my new bangs to send to my sister I got caught up in a self-portrait session. I thought this one turned out quite nice.
